• A full bladder might be required: For some tests, you may be asked to arrive with a full bladder before the test, as it helps the radiologist obtain clearer images. In such cases, patients are advised to drink plenty of water before the scan and avoid urinating until the procedure is complete.
• Fasting: Some of the abdominal ultrasounds provide patients with instructions to avoid eating or drinking for 4–6 hours before the test. Be sure to check in with your clinic while booking.
